Warnock began his managerial career 40 years ago where he first took charge of Lincolnshire side, Gainsborough Trinity. He would go on to manage 16 different clubs in his time.
The 73-year-old is best known for his stints at Notts County at the end of the 80s, as well as taking charge of boyhood club Sheffield United for an eight-year period between 1999 and 2007.
No manager has been more successful in getting teams promoted as well, with the 73-year-old legend guiding eight different sides to promotion.
His last job saw him take charge of Championship side Middlesbrough. After leaving the position in November, Warnock has now called time on his career in the dugout, ending any slim hopes that he would end up in the Old Trafford dugout.
A real shame if you ask us, but a major boost for Erik ten Hag. Probably.
