"Leicester are a huge surprise," the Brazilian legend told The Sport Bible.
"There are no big names in that side but they are very organised and hard-working."
And the 75-year-old, who admitted to enjoying Premier League football when he gets the chance to take in a game, didn't chose a Leicester player when asked to name his favourite player in England's top flight.
Pele opted instead for his compatriot and "great talent" Philippe Coutinho.
"There are other good young Brazilians in Europe at the moment but they don't have Philippe's experience," he said.
