The Brazilian-born defender isn't the most popular figure with football fans because of on-field antics, but there's no denying that he's still a very good player and one of the most experienced in his position around.
Pepe played over 300 times for Real, where he won three league titles and three European Cups, and has made 99 appearances for the Portuguese national team. He scored Portugal's equaliser in the World Cup last-16 tie against Uruguay, a match they eventually lost.
Pepe could prove a shrewd signing for Wolves as they seek to make an impact in the top-flight. Portuguese super agent Jorge Mendes, who represents Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho, has helped the club sign players such as Ruben Neves from Porto, Patricio and Moutinho.
