If you thought Manchester United had underachieved having spent shed loads of cash last season, then you would be right. Normally if you spend almost €200million you'd expect to be close to the top of the league, but an interesting graphic from the Daily Mail suggests that Manchester United bosses have been short changed by the Dutchman. The newspaper has added up the club's imports and exports as well as wages and then divided that figure by the amount of points accrued so far this season. The Dutchman comes in rock bottom,costing the club almost €5 million per point while Liverpool and Manchester City aren't much better with almost every single hard earned point costing millions. Brendan Rodgers summer splurge last season didn't do his side any favours, and after a net spend of over€150 million the club have shelled out over €2.5 million for every single of their 62 points. QPR's disastrous season after spending under Harry Redknapp is also exposed while we can only imagone the cash that Chelsea got for David Luiz is the reason they are closer to the top than the bottom. Surprisingly Garry Monk comes out on top as the thriftiest manager in the league as he looks set to guide the Swans to their best ever Premier league finish with every point costing around half-a-million. Ronald Koeman of Southampton,who cashed in on Liverpool last season and their desire to buy the whole Saints' squad is second, while Mark Hughes with his Stoke side are third.
