The former Ipswich man spoke of his desire to play for Rangers, the club he has supported since childhood.
McAuley told Rangers TV, " The opportunity to come and play at this famous club is amazing," "My family support the club, myself as well. The street I was born on, the kerbs were painted red, white and blue."
The 79 time capped international has been a regular fixture in the premier league, and represented Northern Ireland at Euro 2016, so he will add a wealth of top level experience to Steven Gerrard's side.
