Stephen Quinn wasn't fucking about with this effort.
10-man Reading booked their place into the third round of the EFL with a 2-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion on Tuesday night. Goals from Quinn and John Swift were enough to seal the victory for the Royals, despite Tomer Hemed's 84th minute strike making it a nervy finish.
While the main talking point of the game may have been former Manchester United man Tyler Blackett's late tackle on Sebastien Pocognoli earning him a straight red, Quinn's opener provided fans with something more upbeat to discuss after the game.
There was some aerial ping-pong inside the box after Brighton's defence made a hames of defending a corner and in came opportunist Quinn to absolute rocket it into the net on the volley from close range. The shot was so powerful that if the keeper had managed to get a hand to it, he would have only had one hand left attached to his body and an unfortunate fan in the stand would have been taking home a rather gruesome five-fingered souvenir.

They all count the same, but we feel that agricultural effort should have counted at least double.
