According to the Manchester Evening News, United could offer as much as £65m for the 25-year-old, who is expected to be key to the Belgian Red Devils' hopes of Euro 2016 glory.
But Real Madrid remain interested in the player - unless a transfer ban prevents them from doing any business in the summer - while Barcelona are also thought to be keeping a close eye on developments.
