Report: Romelu Lukaku reaches deal to leave United

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku looks set for a move to the Serie A after United reportedly reached a deal with Inter Milan for the Belgian international.

Inter manager Antonio Conte has repeatedly made it clear that he wants to bring Lukaku to the club this summer and now it looks like his wishes may come true with both United and Inter reportedly agreeing upon a fee. https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1159148861274951680   If the move goes through Lukaku will finish his United career with 42 goals in 96 games following a £75 million move from Everton. Lukaku spent eight seasons in the Premier League and Conte revealed last month that he previously tried to bring the player back to Stamford Bridge during his time their as Chelsea.

"You know I like this player," said Conte. "In the past when I was Chelsea's coach [from 2016 to 2018] I tried to bring him to Chelsea. "As I said before, I like this player and consider him an important player for us to have a good improvement but at the same there is a transfer market. "We know very well which is our situation at the moment and we will see what happens but for now Lukaku is a United player."

Lukaku has barely featured this pre-season with his club future up in the air bot manage Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted his forward is just working his way back from injury.

"It was best for him [Lukaku] to stay home," said Solskjaer. "He wouldn't have been able to play. Hopefully he might be able to train in the next couple of days. Let's see what happens. "You never know what happens in football. He's not been able to train, but he's not been that bad that we had to send him home, we still had hope he was going to be fit to play in Australia, Shanghai and Singapore. But for this short trip, there was no point bringing him."
