Romelu Lukaku’s brother says “Arsenal need to go out and spend” as he angles for a move

From Gary and Phil Neville to Peyton and Eli Manning, it's not unusual to see two brothers make a living in the same sport.

For Belgian full-back Jordan Lukaku, this means following in the footsteps of his older brother Romelu, who has fired in 18 league goals this season for Everton (and your fantasy team). Currently plying his trade with Belgian side K.V. Oostende, the younger Lukaku has hinted that he is ready for a move to the Premier League, admitting that he has always admired Arsenal - before calling on the club to spend more money. Speaking to The Set Pieces, the left-back said: "Do I see myself as a Premier League-bound? I don't know, but it's a league that would suit me. I have always been a fan of Arsenal, but I am mad about every Premier League club as long as the club doesn't have to fight against relegation."

"Arsenal has to go out and spend. Arsenal has become a youth academy for other top clubs," he added. "When Fabregas became top, he moved to Barcelona. When Van Persie became top and single-handedly guided Arsenal to a top-four finish, he moved to Manchester United. He had begged for reinforcements. Same case with Samir Nasri. He asked for a bigger salary. Arsenal has to be less stingy."

As far as attempts to get a move to a Premier League club go, we think calling a giant English club out for not spending enough money is pretty ballsy. We hope it works out for him.
