Ronaldo dashes Manchester United fans hopes of a return to Old Trafford

Where do you go if you are one the best footballers in the world and you have won almost every single trophy that's been on offer?

Well that's the dilemma that faces Cristiano Ronaldo as the Portugal forward enters his 30s looking for a new challenge. It's been widely reported that PSG would love to pair the attacker with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while his former side, Manchester United, are also set to be keen on bringing the goal-machine back to the Premier League. However, it appears that Ronaldo has killed any speculation that he will be moving anywhere with comments this week that suggest he's very happy with life in Madrid, and has no desire to move anywhere else. Speaking as he picked up his Golden Boot award for last season's exploits in front of goal, the two-time Champions League winner explained how happy he is with Los Blancos, and that he plans to retire in five or six years time.

"I am settled here, I'm useful here and I want to continue at the club. I want to win and I am at the best club in the world." "I'm not satisfied yet - I always want more. Ronaldo might be telling the truth, but we suspect that his motives for publicly declaring he's not going anywhere may be a sly dig at Gareth Bale's tenure at Madrid and the clear antipathy between both men. He could also be putting some pressure on Rafa Benitez to suggest that if the Spaniard falls out with the player, the manager, rather than the player, will be leaving the club first. Or maybe he just really likes earning shedloads of cash at the world's biggest football club?
