"He can't."
The last thing Roy Keane wanted, after witnessing his former side give up
two late goals to lose to Arsenal, was a Gary Neville gag about Ireland's best prospect in years.
Keane had already been forced to
trade gags with Declan Rice, who was the last 'best prospect' before Evan Ferguson. Neville, after a rant against the Glazer family, recovered to make a Ferguson allegiance joke, but Keane was quick off the mark with his reply.

As Sky Sports were wrapping up their coverage from The Emirates,
following Arsenal's 3-1 win over United, host Dave Jones pointed out that Erik ten Hag's side next face Brighton.
While only in fifth place in the league, Brighton are top scorers, with 12 goals in four matches. United have conceded seven goals in four matches and Victor Lindelof looks to have joined Raphael Varane on the injured list. Lisandro Martinez was also injured against Arsenal.
Evan Ferguson bagged a hat-trick against Newcastle United on Saturday and will be relishing a start against that United defence, at Old Trafford, on September 16. For now, though, Keane was happy to praise the 18-year-old Ireland forward.
"Outstanding prospect," said Keane. "This guy has got great potential."
Neville then chipped in to say, "I heard he can play for England, Roy."
As his former United teammate stood there grinning, Keane shot him a glare and replied, "He can't, he can't."
Ferguson has six caps for Ireland but Fifa rules state he could still switch allegiance to England [if he wanted, as he is eligible] as he has not played four competitive games. That could all change, though, if Ferguson features against either France and/or The Netherlands during the international break.
Neville also found time to declare that the Glazer family are still looking to sell Manchester United, despite reports
claiming they now want 10 billion [sterling] for the club.
