Six-year-old Daire Flannagan from Belfast suffers from Apert syndrome, and last night on a GoFundMe page, the name of the Ireland fullback, and very generous amount of money, popped up on the site.
Coleman was tagged on Twitter in an attempt to drum support for the fundraising efforts in recent days, and instead of just matching the target of £1000 for the trip to Merseyside for Daire and his family to watch the Toffees in action, he has helped donate five times as much.
His efforts have been widely praised this afternoon.
