Steven Gerrard reveals the two men who grind his gears the most in English football

With his book 'My Story' set for release this week, we expect to be hearing plenty from Steven Gerrard in the near future.

Aside from sharing tales of how he acquired a lacerated penis in a game against Crystal Palace, the book sheds light on a number of interesting elements of Gerrard's time at Liverpool. As reported by The Guardian, the LA Galaxy man's dislike for two men in the football world becomes quite clear. Stuart Pearce is the first, after picking Scott Parker as England captain ahead of Gerrard in his solitary match as caretaker manager - and choosing a hotel toilet in Watford as the place to tell the former Liverpool skipper. But it's former referee Martin Atkinson who receives the most ire from Gerrard as he bluntly writes that he 'can't stand him'. Atkinson was in charge on the day of Gerrard's infamous slip against Chelsea in April 2014. He also refereed last season's defeat against Manchester United at Anfield, when Gerrard was sent off just seconds after coming onto the pitch for a stamp on Ander Herrera. “I didn’t like the look of his face,” says Gerrard of Atkinson.
