A 3-2 defeat to Wolfsburg as well as PSV Eindhoven's 2-1 win at home to CSKA Moscow means the Premier League team will be playing on Thursday nights in the new year.

It seemed for a brief moment that United would be going through when CSKA scored a penalty, only for Eindhoven to pull back a quick equaliser. Then it happened again with Louis van Gaal's men finding an equaliser of their own...only for Wolfsburg to immediately to re-take the lead...
