The Ireland captain looked to have suffered a serious lower leg injury and was permanently removed from the field of play as a result.
This sparked Ireland into action but unfortunately, they couldn't find a winner in the last 15 minutes as they piled on the pressure against a Welsh side with a man down.
Throughout the game, you were easily able to hear a trumpet playing somewhere in the crowd.
However, it wasn't exactly music to people's ears.
And that applies to both people in the ground and to those watching on TV.
