Louis van Gaal will not resign as Manchester United manager.
The Dutchman told BT Sports that, despite his side failing to win for the eight consecutive game, the club's longest winless run in almost 26 years, he has no intention of stepping down.
"There is not any reason to resign for me," Van Gaal told journalist Des Kelly, "maybe the media wants that, but I shall not do that."
The 64 year old also spoke about fulfilling his contract, and said he was happy with his side's performance in the goalless draw at Old Trafford.
"The players are fighting for me. It was a good performance but we didn't have the luck we needed."

Earlier this week, there were reports that Van Gaal had twice offered to resign, but was rebuffed by the United hierarchy.
However, despite the home side's improved performance, some on social media weren't convinced Van Gaal was the right man to take United forward.
