You can't help but feel for Kevin Doyle.
After nearly two years of waiting for his return to the Irish team, the Colorafo Rapids striker was given a golden opportunity to impress in the Good Friday friendly against Switzerland.
However, his night ended in heartbreak when he was stretchered off the pitch just 23 minutes into the match.
While trying to close down a Swiss defender and win back possession, the striker fell awkwardly on his ankle and it became clear pretty quickly that his night was over.
The crowd gave Doyle a standing ovation as he was stretchered off the pitch.
