Brutal
That's the margin of defeat today for the Down ladies who lost out to Cavan by a whopping 10-25 to 0-3 in the first game of the All-Ireland Senior series.
What's worse was the whole thing was televised on TG4.
There is no fault being apportioned to the Down side who have lost a number of players since last year's All-Ireland intermediate success, but suffered a 61 point walloping to Donegal in the Ulster series last month in a game that ended 10-35 to 0-4.
Today's defeat must be a record for a game broadcast on TV, but serious questions must be asked when two sides who are totally mismatched were pitched in together at such an important stage of the championship.

Cavan either can't be faulted for putting their opponents to the sword without a damn for their feelings or what it might do to the Ulster side.
Kilkenny hurlers never cared if they were 5 or 25 points ahead and clearly Cavan today didn't either

In a week when the camogie association have been rightly slammed for possibly deciding an All-Ireland q-finalist via coin toss, today does noting for their colleagues promoting ladies football.
