Fossa did have one last chance from an indirect free but Milltown/Castlemaine hung on to progress to the senior grade.
St Brigid's will play Corofin in the Connacht SFC final having defeated Mohill while, in Leinster, Darragh Kirwan was simply untouchable, kicking 1-6 from play for Naas to defeat St Loman's.
The Westmeath champions started well in that one, and led by 1-7 to 0-7 at half-time, but they didn't score another point from play in the second half or in extra-time.
