Cork earned a lot of plaudits for having a go at four-time defending All-Ireland champions Dublin last weekend and they have taken that same mentality into their second Super 8's qualifier against Tyrone.
Cork got off to the best possible start against Mickey Harte's side when Luke Connolly blasted home an early goal inside the first 15 seconds to give the Rebels an early advantage at Croke Park.
Peter Harte helped Tyrone back into the game with a nice score but Cork went straight back on the throttle with Mattie Taylor and Mark Collins both tagging on points before James Loughrey smashed home a second goal after some wonderful build up play.

The Rebels were far from done there though. With the Tyrone team perched back on their own half back line, Ronan McCarthy's men were dominant in terms of possession.
Rather than panicking, they were admirably patient and the holes eventually punched themselves. James Loughrey found the next one and he finished like a corner back shouldn't be able to.
It was all about the Cork physio's celebrations though. He buck-leaped around the place before clapping Luke Connolly on the head.

Tyrone got their Super 8's campaign off to a good start with a relatively comfortable win over Roscommon but they will have it all to do if they don't win on Saturday with Dublin set to travel to Omagh next month for the group stage finale.
Meanwhile a win for Cork would put the Rebels back in a position to qualify with Ronan McCarthy's side returning south to Páirc Uí Rinn for their group stage finale with the Rossies.
