David Clifford gestures that he was hit in the testicles in Monaghan melee

Kerry midfielder David Clifford claims he was hit in the testicles during the midst of the Kingdom's two-point loss to Monaghan on Sunday.

A second-half brawl between Kerry duo Sean O'Shea and Paul Geaney, and Monaghan pair Conor Boyle and Barry Kerr, erupted with Kerr receiving a red card for an alleged attempted eye gouge on Geaney. In a separate scuffle in the background, Clifford emerged from the bottom of a pile and had gestured to referee Cormac Reilly that he had been hit in the testicles during the melee. Monaghan led by seven points at one stage and held on to earn a hard-fought two-point win in Inniskeen.
