Up from junior, Fossa are taking the intermediate grade by storm in Kerry.
They began their campaign with a convincing win over An Gaeltacht last weekend and they continued that momentum on Sunday, when they defeated St Mary's Caherciveen by 1-17 to 2-10.
Unsurprisingly, the Clifford brothers were key players for the Killarney club, scoring ten points between them in their side's victory.
Afterwards, in a brilliant interview with Michael Linehan of Clubber, David Clifford hailed the split season. The Kerry captain says that, seeing as county and club games now take place at different stages of the year, it gives players the opportunity to focus on them solely whenever they come around.
"Any player wants games," said Clifford.
"The beauty of the split season is you can put all your eggs in the county basket when that's on, and now we can put all our eggs in the club basket.
"It's brilliant to be back in with the club. Obviously, we really enjoyed the inter-county season but the structure of the split season, as I said, it allows us to put everything we have into either team."
Meanwhile, David's father Dermot, also the Fossa chairman, was just delighted to get over the challenge of Caherciveen, a team he has 'bad memories of.'

Paudie, meanwhile, says he's enjoying the free-role that he plays for Fossa.
"I'm playing more of a free role at the moment. I don't have to go all out attacking wise because we've plenty of brilliant attackers. I can anchor the defence and try and help out there with them that way."

Meanwhile, Gorey Naomh Eanna won the Wexford SHC final after an inspired display from Conor McDonald, who scored 1-4 in their win over Oylegate Glenbrien.
