Game on.
Both Geary and Fitzgerald were in a familiar old stomping ground for the final, with the deciding challenges taking place in Jones' road and in Davy's passion throughout, the home of the GAA was in for a few familiar sights.
With Fitzgerald one of the programme's creators, it's no surprise that he takes it seriously and as the tension and the stakes rose towards a grandstand finish, Davy was getting more and more into it, more and more animated.
His reaction to the realisation that his team had been beaten by a whisker on the final challenge was like what you'd see in the height of the summer when a Wexford man isn't given a free.
No holding back.
This was the type of infectious passion that Fitzgerald brought to the programme throughout and he couldn't hold in the customary beep that you'd hear over Ger Canning's commentary of a Leinster championship clash in Juune.

Pure and utter passion and isn't it great to see.
His interview with Catherine Thomas afterwards was like a carbon-copy of the many deadpan, distraught offerings he's given after his teams were beaten on the hurling field.
It's not only the hurling that gets Davy going.

Never change, Davy.
And all watching on were loving it.
