In one of the biggest All-Ireland SHC shocks ever, Dublin have beaten Limerick in their quarter-final by 2-24 to 0-28.
And the task at hand for the Sky Blues was made even harder when Chris Crummey was shown a red card for a challenge on Gearóid Hegarty after just 15 minutes.
The Treaty fought back from a half-time deficit to lead by a point after 52 minutes, but two goals in under a minute, from John Hetherton and Cian O'Sullivan, followed by a miraculous save from Seán Brennan, sent the Dubs on their way to victory.
They will now either meet Kilkenny or Cork in the semis.
Back at Gaelic Grounds ahead of Tipperary's clash with Galway, the RTÉ pundits dissected the contest, with former Cork keeper Dónal Óg Cusack explaining why the win is good for the game.
He said: "Everything deserved.
"How many times have we seen Dublin followers drifting in to see a Dublin hurling team get their last rites.
"It's a great day. It's a great day for Dublin hurling, but it's also good for hurling.
"We've spoken about it for years. It would be brilliant to see a strong Dublin team, a full Hill 16 all there on time supporting Dublin in an All-Ireland final, will only do the game well."
