On Thursday, Colm Parkinson declared Mayo dead men walking.
By Monday, he apologised.
Mayo are simply
better when it's all on the line. For six years, the only team to eliminate them from the All-Ireland championship were the eventual champions and last season's blip in Newbridge marked the first time in seven years that they wouldn't reach at least the semis.
So they've been written off again, a few times already in 2019 and Wooly couldn't see them make it past a Galway side who they were finding no literal way past.
