Such was the case for one football squad in Galway last week. The coach put the time and place out - Thursday at 8pm, the usual spot - and extended the olive branch to any lads that had not yet made it along for a session.
The response was muted to say the least. Then, just under three hours before training, there was a ping.
'See you there coach'? No, not quite.
You have to feel for the poor chap who went to all the effort and for the lad that was nursing an 11-pint hangover the next morning.
Training is this Thursday at 8pm though. The usual spot.
