Galway hurling legends lined up for GAA talk show you won’t want to miss

The scary thing for the rest of Ireland is the reality that Galway is awake.

No longer a sleeping giant, no longer living off glory days or ideas of what might be, the boom is very much back for GAA in the west. Galway are in that verve right now. It's not that they've lost respect for all competitors, they've just stopped waiting around, they've stopped admiring others, and they've simply decided that now is their time. Their ruthless dismantling of Kilkenny in Salthill last week summed up that attitude that the champions now carry themselves as the best in the country. And their footballers are coming after them. In the last two years alone, Galway teams have brought back a Connacht football title, a Leinster hurling title, a Division Two football league, a Division One hurling league and club football and senior hurling All-Ireland titles too. What's more? It only looks like there are even greater things ahead. On June 23, just a week out from when Galway will almost certainly contest another Leinster hurling final, three of the county's All-Stars from that historic year in 2017 will gather for what will be a fascinating panel discussion. All-Ireland winning captain David Burke, Hurler of the Year Joe Canning, and Gearóid McInerney - who was nominated alongside Burke for man of the match in the final - will gather to talk all things GAA with The GAA Hour host Colm Parkinson.
