After two Munster titles and a national league during his tenure culminated in Liam MacCarthy on the 5th of September 2010, Sheedy's term in charge of Tipperary will always be remembered fondly.
He was the man who stopped Kilkenny's charge for five in-a-row and he was the man who brought the county back to the Promised Land after nine years in exile.
On Monday night, he was sworn in again at the head of the fight back.
"I am taking up the role with a huge sense of excitement and enthusiasm, mostly at the thought of getting back into the dressing-room and out on the field with Tipperary’s best," Sheedy said. "I come on board again just two years after Michael Ryan led Tipperary to a superb All-Ireland title. He has handed over an incredibly talented squad that I look forward to finalising over the coming weeks and months and getting Tipperary ready for 2019."The reaction has been euphoric. https://twitter.com/Kilcash1/status/1044408032891949056 https://twitter.com/MichaelLinehan8/status/1044345971646377986 https://twitter.com/TomBerkery/status/1044365689077854208 Tipperary expects. Liam Sheedy expects nothing less.
