They struggled in the first half in Páirc Uí Rinn with Cork heading into the interval with a five point lead but once Donegal kicked into gear, Cork had no response.
Murphy was the man who kick started the comeback and his solo effort just after the resumption was a score worthy of the admission fee alone.
