If there is ever a time for the GAA community in Wicklow to come together it is around now.
Storm Barney ripped through Ireland last night and caused thousands of euro worth of damage across the country.
Unfortunately it seems that one GAA club in Wicklow town has suffered more than most after high winds and driving rain left Rathnew GAA's club's clubhouse in dire straits.
The Wicklow GAA club woke up this morning to the sight of much of their roof missing, and rainwater having poured down into their Leisure Centre gym.

The damage looks extensive and it seems that the club will have to fork out thousands to try and fix it at the worst possible time of year.

The Leisure Centre will remain closed until further notice and hopefully some local tradesmen can help with some of the extensive repair work needed.
