Fair play to Cian Boland, who didn't let the devastating loss to Italy last night get in the way of him playing for Dublin today.
No doubt Mark Shutte, will be rushing back home from Croke Park as quickly as possible to make the England match tonight.
Not many Englishmen would risk missing their beloved country to play a game of hurling - in fact it probably never happened before.
The game itself, was the real spectacle, as Dublin came out of the blocks against the favoured Galway side. For whatever reason, Joe Canning and his teammates just weren't clicking, missing easy frees and hitting wide after wide.
Dublin on the other hand, building from their success last week against Antrim, looked confident, efficient and clinical between the posts.
Danny Sutcliffe in particular put in a captain's performance, with one score especially, just minutes before full time that was absolutely inspirational - cutting down the right hand side, from an outrageous range, he swung the ball over the black spot, and it cemented the idea that this was going to be Dublin's day.
In the end Dublin were the deserved winners, with the game finishing Dublin 1-18 1-14 Galway.
