This wasn't the best look for Tyrone GAA.
Tyrone started slowly at Netwatch Cullen Park on Saturday. However, once they got going, they clearly had Carlow's number. The O'Neill County scored a comfortable 3-14 to 1-10 victory over the Scallion Eaters in the
round 2 qualifier.
The Carlow attack was heavily dependant on set-pieces. Thier top marksman for the day being Paul Broderick backs this claim up. He bagged himself five points, four of which came from frees.
It was Broderick who was the subject of a somewhat controversial tweet from Tyrone GAA's Twitter account during their commentary of the game. The tweet may not have seemed too bad at first glance, but when you look at every other time Broderick's name was mentioned in the Twitter commentary, the choice of words didn't appear to be a coincidence.
So let's have a look through every time Broderick was mentioned during the game before we get to THAT tweet.
The first free
They were never going to give much detail. This isn't the Carlow GAA Twitter account.

Fires wide from play
Again, minimal detail, which is to be expected.

Giving credit where it's due
Some feats are too impressive to ignore.

Another point
Standard enough.

Again
Nothing out of the ordinary here.

The point from play
There may have been some confusion over his overall tally at this stage.

The final free
All caps for the final score. A solid win. They're more than entitled to celebrate.

Now time for the tweet that upset a few people. Have a look and see if you can spot what folks took issue with. It should be fairly obvious.

The decision to refer to Broderick as a 'free kick expert,' in the first tweet mentioning him missing a free kick didn't sit well with a lot of fans. They let their voices be heard in the replies.
