VIDEO: Kilkenny hurling legend Tommy Walsh nails crossbar challenge at his ease

It's not strictly the crossbar challenge that we have become accustomed to over the last three or four weeks, but it's still impressive to see any hurler pop a sliotar onto a crossbar from 45 metres. Last week we saw Waterford take up the challenge from Clare, even if they were only 21 metres from the goals, while Davy Fitzgerald's troops started the trend with their efforts last month. Well two Kilkenny All-Ireland winners have now taken the challenge in their alma mater of St Kierans College, as part of an promotion for a series of new coaching workshops being organised by former All-Star Michael Rice in the school. He's persuaded former teammate and fellow St Kieran's old-boy Tommy Walsh to have a go and by all accounts the Tullaroan legend nailed it in just four attempts. Make you listen closely for the sweet 'ping' as the sliotar hits the metal.

Rice himself also tries his hand at the challenge - he would have to really wouldn't he -  but he can only hit the blackspot on his seventh attempt.
