If you've ever had a fantasy about running away and joining Duffy's or even Cirque du Soleill, let Ronan Brady be your inspiration.
Brady was a member of the senior Roscommon football panel when they won the provincial title back in 2010. However, injuries intervened and he retired from the game not long after the success.
So he found another outlet for his creativity and athleticism.
The 29-year-old was a teacher by trade and after hanging up his football boots for good, he began rekindling his love of performing on the trapeze and Cyr wheel, a big steel hoop that the artist pivots on using their body weight.
When he was denied a career break, he handed in his resignation from teaching and has been a full-time circus performer for the past 18 months. He has performed all over the world and has honed his craft in Europe and Canada.
