The Colombian remains 150/1 for Masters glory after his one-in-17-million Par 3 success.
Camilo Villegas somehow managed to lose the US Masters' annual Par 3 competition, at Augusta National, despite acing two holes.
The 33-year-old got holes-in-one on the fourth and eighth holes - the third time a golfer had ever taken the shortest route from tee to cup twice in the competition's history.
The achievement was overshadowed somewhat by the ace recorded by 18-time Major winner and wily veteran, Jack 'Golden Bear' Nicklaus.
Villegas finished on five-under par after his nine holes but was edged out by Kevin Streelman, who beat him in a three-hole play-off.
No player that has ever won the Par 3 competition has ever followed it up by clinching the famous winners' green blazer. Perhaps that is why Villegas was not too upset to miss out on glory.
The Colombian remarked, 'I made a few hole-in-ones, but it's pretty special to make them here.'

The odds on recording two holes-in-one during a regular round of golf is one-in-67-million. There are an average of 3.9 Par 3 holes on PGA Tour courses so playing nine in a row reduces those by over half.
Now that the National Lottery have added three new Lotto numbers, the odds of winning the Irish jackpot are just over 8.1 million.
Simply put, Villegas should get himself a Lotto ticket.
