"Serial shitter has terrorised golf club for ten years"
That's the headline above a bizarre story in the
Rogalands Avis newspaper in Norway.
Since 2005, a man has been vandalising Stavanger Golf Club by squatting down and emptying his bowels in the cups.
The rogue deliveries occur either during the night or very early on weekday mornings, but the culprit is kind enough to leave toilet paper behind him to assist with the clean-up.
“We know it is a man because the poos are too massive to be from a woman,” groundskeeper Kenneth Tennfjord said.
The club attempted to put a stop to the vandal by installing lights but he simply disconnected them before going about his business.
Club director Steinar Fløysvik said: "Our thought is that it may be someone with a grudge against us or the game of golf. Alternatively, the person can have a fetish or have an intellectual disability. We simply do not know."
