Rory McIlroy had one of the greatest rounds of his career on Friday after he shot a second round of 65 at the PGA Championship at Wentworth.
McIlroy finished the second day with a three shot lead at -12 under but he has since relinquished that advantage on the third day and is currently two shots over par at -10 under.
Worse for the Northern Irishman, he nailed a spectator with a shot from the trees on his second shot on the sixth hole with the ball striking the woman on the hand.
The spectator seemed to laugh off the strike but a shot from McIlroy nevertheless would certainly leave its mark.

McIlroy recovered with an excellent shot on the ninth to tee up a birdie chance but he missed a six foot put to to remain at -10 under.
France's Sébastien Gros currently holds a one shot lead over McIlroy at -11 under par.
