Now, in 2015, Woods has dropped out of the world's top 100 golfers for the first time since 1996.
The man who once spent a record 683 weeks as world number one has fallen to 104 in the latest official rankings. The 39-year-old has not played since pulling out of the Farmers Insurance Open in February citing back problems. He admitted being hopeful that he could make a return to the good walk spoiled at some stage this year before announcing that he would be taking an indefinite break from the sport because of his poor performances.
