Tiger Woods was visibly emotional when walking up to the 18th green at the Open Championships after missing the cut, and said that he may not get to play at St Andrews again.
Woods missed the cut after struggling through the last two days of play. He finished 9 over par after a second-round 75 and will not take part in the weekend's play.
The 46-year-old received a warm reception from the fans in attendance at the Old Course in Scotland and appeared to wipe away a few tears as he walked towards the green.

Woods, who won the Open Championship at St Andrews in 2000 and 2005, saluted the crowd as he walked to the final green. He also appeared to shed some tears.
The former world number one finished on three over par for the day and missed the cut at the Open for just the fourth time in his career.
Woods skipped the US Open last month in order to be ready for the Open Championship and give himself the best chance of success.
But it proved to be a difficult few days for Tiger, who admitted following his round that this may be the last we see of him at St Andrews.

"My two days' play - I made my share of mistakes," Woods told Sky Sports after his round on Friday afternoon.
"I struggled again to get the feel of the greens, same as yesterday. I had hit a couple of poor shots and just never got anything going. I needed to shoot a low one today and I didn't do that."
Woods also spoke about the reception he received from the crowd at St Andrews as he approached the green on the 18th hole.
The 15-time major winner was visibly emotional as he walked to the green, and admitted that this could be the last time he competes on the famous course.
Woods believes that St Andrews may not host the Open Championship again until 2030.

"It was very emotional for me," Woods said.
"I've been coming here since 1995 and the next one comes around in 2030 but I don't know if I will be physically able to play. So, this felt to me like it will be the last time to play at St. Andrews.
"I came to understand what Jack (Nicklaus) and Arnold (Palmer) felt in the past and I felt that way. They understand what golf is all about and what it takes to be an Open champion.
"I have been lucky enough to win here twice - it felt emotional because I don't know whether I will be able to play when it comes back here."
"I've always loved coming to Ireland."
