Paul Carberry may have hung up his silks for good, but he has already solidified his legacy as one of the all-time greats of the sport of Kings.
The Grand National-winning jockey has been forced to retire from racing at due to a long-standing leg injury.
Carberry revealed to Press Association Sport that he has retired from the saddle under doctor's instructions, after not racing competitively since breaking his femur in a heavy fall at Listowel last year. (quotes via

"I saw my surgeon today and he advised me to stop. My leg's not strong enough. I feel gutted."
"I don’t know yet what I’ll do. I’m breaking a few horses in to start with.”
The racing world has been paying their respects to the 42-year-old Dubliner's stories career following the sad news that he has rode his last ever race.
