‘Something personal’ caused Conor McGregor’s meeting with Dana White to fall through

Seemingly, Dana White and Conor McGregor have yet to meet since the controversy in New York.

After Conor McGregor threw that dolly through the bus window at the UFC 223 media day, Dana White had his 'worst ever conversation' with 'the Notorious'. After another talk a couple of days later, White admitted it was 'good'. They haven't actually met since these exchanges, according to White. It was announced that they were set to meet up at UFC Liverpool to discuss the superstar's future ahead of his court date in New York. However, the event came and went without the get-together happening. At the post-fight press conference, White confirmed that he didn't see McGregor that weekend.

"Conor and I are going to meet in Vegas. Yeah, he and I haven't seen each other since New York. We haven't seen each other, we haven't talked, nothing. So we need to see each other soon."

"Something happened"

During a recent appearance on the UFC Unfiltered podcast, White was asked by host Matt Serra about the meeting falling through. He revealed that 'something personal' on McGregor's end delayed proceedings. He added that they are now trying to meet sometime between UFC 225 and his court date on June 14.

"Yeah, it didn't work out. Now we're working on meeting in between Chicago and his court date in New York." "Something happened. Something went down with him personally and he couldn't do it."

White also addressed the situation regarding Artem Lobov. Khabib Nurmagomedov's manager Ali Abdelaziz called for 'the Russian Hammer' to be cut from the UFC for his involvement in the UFC 223 media day bus attack. However, as of right now, Lobov is a UFC fighter.

"Yeah, no, Artem's still here. We haven't made any moves on Artem lately either. I'm still waiting to see what happens with Conor to deal with this whole situation."

We'll have to wait until after June 14 to see if the promotion takes any action against those involved in the incident in Brooklyn.
