Diesel is reprising his role as extreme sports-loving agent Xander Cage for the next installment of xXx.
The character, which Diesel first portrayed in 2002, is heading back to the silver screen and McGregor should be keeping him company.
The Dubliner revealed, before he slew Jose Aldo on Saturday night, that Diesel had visited him in L.A in the lead-up to the fight to discuss various projects.
The actor has previous with the UFC. He secured former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey a cameo in Fast and Furious 7.
