VIDEO: Conor McGregor’s plans if he beats Aldo have apparently changed

It looks like Conor McGregor's going to follow through with his vow of eliminating the entire featherweight division one-by-one.

At the recent GO BIG event in Las Vegas, the interim featherweight champion stated his intention to immediately move up to lightweight after his title unification fight with Jose Aldo in December. McGregor, who was a former CageWarriors lightweight champ, vowed to beat the Brazilian at UFC 194 then launch his bid to earn the strap in the "stuck in the mud" 155 lb division. However, UFC president Dana White told Fox Sports Live that, at the moment, the Notorious is eyeing up a showdown with arguably the toughest so-and-so outside the top two in the division, Frankie Edgar, after Aldo.

"Anything is possible. Conor has a hard time making that 145-pound weight class, and I can see him going up before going down.…" "He told me [if he beats Jose Aldo], he would also like to fight Frankie [Edgar]. So we’ll see how this thing plays out."

Everything seems to be coming up Millhouse for Edgar at the moment who many felt was being snubbed for a title shot by the UFC. Since losing a decision to Jose Aldo in his 145 lb debut, the Answer has won four-straight fights against top opposition including Charles Oliveira, legendary fighter BJ Penn, Cub Swanson and most recently, Urijah Faber.

Edgar is currently booked to fight Chad in the main event at the TUF 22 Finale the night before UFC 194, and is also waiting in the wings as a replacement fighter should either Aldo or McGregor pull out of the main event.
