After his dominant win, Maia approached Gunnar Nelson's coach and manager and told them he was a big fan of the honorary Irishman and that he would like to train with him at his Mjolnir gym in Reykjavík, reports Icelandic publication

Gunnar has made it no secret that he was also a massive fan of Maia's, who apparently has also invited Gunni to train with him in his gym at Brasa Clube de Jiu Jitsu in Sao Paolo.
