We're not going to provide a platform for them here, but if you check out the replies, you'll see that a lot of users assumed it was a sly dig at arguably the biggest threat to Conor McGregor's UFC lightweight title, Tony Ferguson.
'El Cucuy' was scheduled to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov for the interim 155 lb strap at UFC 209 in March, but on the third time of asking, the fight fell through. This time, it was the Dagestani's botched weight cut that left combat sports nerds in an abysmal mood for a couple of weeks. (Longer in some cases... would have been a hell of a fight!)
The only man to defeat Ferguson inside the UFC's Octagon, Michael Johnson, offered to step in on one-day's notice to salvage the co-main event, but Fergnson turned it down citing a number of reasons including the fact that no belt would be on the line and he would have to take a pay cut.
It seems like the elite lightweight also thought Kavanagh's tweet was a jab at him rejecting the fight offer. At least, that's what we gathered from his fiery response.

As Kavanagh explained to one user who called him out on the supposed shot at Ferguson, he was actually praising SBG fighter Kiefer Crosbie for accepting a short notice fight against Harry Marple on the BAMMA 30 card in Dublin.
If Ferguson's reply didn't seem like an overreaction when he sent it, it certainly does now.
