Both Firas Zahabi and John Kavanagh have said they 'would love' Conor McGregor vs Georges St-Pierre to happen.
While the hardcore MMA community is hot and cold on what would likely be the biggest MMA fight ever, Firas Zahabi and John Kavanagh are all for it.
Georges St-Pierre's
recent comments don't suggest he's chomping at the bit to secure a Red Panty Night. Admittedly, it was difficult to work out exactly what he wants next from that appearance on the MMA Hour. He indicated that he wanted to build his legacy and that money wasn't his main motivation.
However, he brushed off a proposed match-up against undefeated Ben Askren for not being enough of a draw. He also didn't seem particularly interested in fighting Tyron Woodley or Conor McGregor, scalps that would certainly add to his already impressive legacy.

The coaches approve
Prior to UFC 217, Kavanagh told
StarSport that he 'would love' GSP vs Conor. St-Pierre's head coach, Zahabi, echoed that sentiment to
Fight Hub TV. Although he is sceptical about the odds of the 'megafight' being booked.
"I would love that fight to happen (but) I don't think it's going to happen (because of) the size difference, Conor's got to defend the belt sooner rather than later. They can't fight for the middleweight title. That may be considered a little bit crazy."
"I think it would just be a megafight that fans want to see. It would just be a super megafight that everybody in the world would want to see. I think it would be a bigger fight than Mayweather-McGregor. I think it would be the biggest fight in history and for sure, everybody would want to see it. But I don't make the fights, but if I did, that would be the one I'd make."

Tall claim
We don't think anyone is buying Zahabi's claim that it would be bigger than 'the Money Fight'. Mayweather is the biggest PPV draw in sports history. While GSP is a legitimate superstar in MMA, the numbers show he is nowhere near Money's level.
The biggest fight in UFC history though? That's a possibility, maybe even a probability.
GSP is a proven draw even after a four-year hiatus he still managed to headline the second biggest PPV last year, only beaten by the highly-anticipated rematch between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier. If you couple this with McGregor numbers, we're talking 'Diddy bread'.
