Neil Seery accepts Ian McCall’s offer of a fight in Belfast

There are not many Irish options available for UFC Belfast.

With the retirements last year of Paddy Holohan and Cathal Pendred, Conor McGregor's exclusivity to pay-per-view cards and Aisling Daly's injury, candidates are few and far between. In fact, the only two Irish fighters currently on the UFC roster that would be available to fight are Joe Duffy and Neil Seery. And the latter has received the offer of a monster fight for the promotion's return to the SSE Arena. The UFC's fifth-ranked flyweight, Ian McCall, reveals he wants to fight Team Ryano's Seery in Belfast on November 19. McCall was scheduled to square off with Ray Borg at UFC 203 this weekend but, for the second time in as many months, 'Uncle Creepy' has seen his opponent pull out of the fight with just days remaining. Borg was forced out of Saturday's bout with illness and McCall finds himself opponentless again, just as he did at UFC 201 when Justin Scoggins forced the abandonment of his bout with McCall as he was unable to meet the flyweight limit.
