TMZ quotes sources who claim that discussions are underway between Mayweather Promotions and Ice Cube in the hope that the latter will move his event to the nearby MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Realistically, there is just too much money associated with McGregor vs. Mayweather for the boxer's team to allow a basketball league to force the fight card to a smaller venue.
Ice Cube is likely just waiting to be properly compensated before he acquiesces to the switch, and that's precisely what he alluded to on Monday.
