Jose Aldo lost the plot when his sparring partner mimicked Conor McGregor’s trash-talk

It looks like Jose Aldo made the right call in bringing in someone to help him cope with Conor McGregor's inevitable verbal assault at UFC 189.

Remember that guy Jose Aldo hired to mimic Conor McGregor's fighting style? Well, apparently, he not only walks the walk, he can talk the talk as well. Jonas Bilharinho explained in a recent interview with MMA Digest, that he talks trash to Aldo during sparring sessions in order to prepare him for McGregor's mind games during their title fight.

"(I talked trash) a lot. A lot. Never ever ever did anyone try to talk to Aldo during fights, and I am 100% sure that Conor will.

"He's going to try to make Aldo's good strikes look foolish. So every single leg kick that Aldo gets (on me), every punch, every good strike, I tell Aldo, 'No Aldo, you've got nothing. What do you got for me, Aldo?'"

Bilharinho added that Aldo initially didn't react well to his smack talk in the gym, but he has since learned how to deal with someone yelling abuse a him during combat.

"I was talking to Aldo during training and he lost his mind! He lost his mind, and I said to him 'man, you've got to focus, you've got to concentrate, but his evolution is absurd. Every single training, he's a monster."

"Now he doesn't lose focus at all when I'm cursing at him. Now I can curse his mother, and he will do nothing. He will keep calm and stick with the strategy. He's a beast."
