McGregor's left cross changed all that and relieved Aldo of his UFC featherweight belt. It also ended his 10-year unbeaten streak.
The Notorious [or an actor playing him] is not said to be in the movie - it focuses on Aldo's rise through the ranks, including WEC and his early UFC bouts - but recent events may force a re-shoot.
The movie now looks set to be closer to Aldo's next fight but, with McGregor stepping up for a lightweight title shot, that may not be until much later this year.
Asked about the delays, Andre Pederneiras [Aldo's coach] believes the movie will still capture hearts and minds.
"I think that Aldo, due to his charisma and history, is already recognised beyond the world of Mixed Martial Arts," Pederneiras told Sherdog. "The fact that he was chosen by Forbes for their '30 [top athletes] under 30' list is a huge example of that. "Ask any of the poor people from the slums of Rio if they recognise him as an idol, an example. [They think] 'He came from nowhere and reached his dream so I can do the same'."https://youtu.be/W18W9EKPZC8
